| Hi Skelta,
I need to know if it's possible to put into the field "Action Display Name" of an element (Information, Choice, Approval, etc) a workflow variable, for example I need to obtain this in the field ActionRequired of the My Activities web part in my sharepoint site: "BOOK Information" when the word "BOOK" is into a workflow variable that I set before. I hope you can help me.
Regards

| | Hi, If you want to pull the variable data from SharePoint then you will have a XML variable in Start activity like SPEventData. For the activity you want to use the variable to name it use the Expression Editor provided just beside the Display name and select the required variable. When the workflow is executed you can see the value of variable assigned to Display Name of that activity in the Inbox.

| Hi Prashant,
Thanks for you reply. I think that I couldn't explain clearly my issue, first I'm using Skelta Sharepoint Accelerator (Version 2004) and Sharepoint Services 2.0. In the Skelta's version I don't have an Expression Editor to the "Action Display Name" field for that reason I put this topic here, because I tried to put (writing in the field) in it the text that I have when I'm use the Expression Editor but it didn't work in the field. I attached to this message an Image of my issue, I hope you can help me. Thanks already
Regards,
Andrés

| Andres,
Since 'Action Display name' is a string property, you will not be able to input the data using variable. If you provide the variable name that will be considered as input data but not the content of the variable.

| Hi Madhu,
Thank you to answer my request. That's what I wanted that you confirm to me. Ok, there is not form to put variables data in the "Action Display Name" field.
