| First off, I have looked at the KB article referencing this problem at http://www.skelta.com/KB/article.aspx?id=10509&cNode=4S7V3T. The article's solution is to remove all extra spaces and line breaks that are possible.
I developed the code and copied it into the by right clicking and click "" This causes the code to become very tight and all the spaces and line breaks are removed.
Even by creating the email body this way, there is still a 7 -8 lines of white space at the top of the email in Outlook 2007. The tables are also larger than they should be. However, I am not sure if this is Outlook misbehaving.
I have attached a screenshot of both the email and the HTML of the body.
Any help is appreciated

| I created a new workflow and created the simplest HTML email body I could. When I pasted into the body as text, there was less spaces in the tables than if I posted it into the body as HTML. Here is the XML file and screenshot of the email attached.

| | I think still there is a lott of blank space present in your html code, you can try typing instead of copying from some other source and try again. ~Chitta |

| | Chitta: The ZIP file I attached does contain white spaces. There are more white spaces when I paste the HTML in as HTML than when I paste it in as text. Either way, there is a lot of space in the email that is generated in both the first part of the email and in the tables. I cannot remove anymore spaces when I paste as HTML. |

| | Looks like my answer in my previous response did not give you clarity. Here is the two options we can try to resolve this issue. 1. Try typing the HTML tags within Email Body section instead of copying from any other source. 2. Even after doing this if the issue still persists, you can raise a ticket to support@skelta.com to have immediate resolution on this issue. ~Chitta |

| | Thanks to all those who commented. Using the information you all provided, I found a way to make it work. I copied the HTML from my editor into Notepad with wordwrap turned on. I then removed every unneeded spaces and lines manualy and compacted the code. I then pasted the contents into Skelta and made sure it didn't add any code. Sometimes when you tell it to past, it adds line breaks for some reason. Doing the paste this way made the tables and lines show up correctly. Simply put, to remove the extra lines in the email Outlook receives, remove all spaces and lines even between the HTML tags. Thanks again! |
