Can anyone tell me how can I get the checklist comments to display in the emails that the requestor will receive once a decision has been made?  I tried to add a comment field in the checklist but not sure if this was done correctly.  I get the comment information in the emails but no comments are display.  I have attached a screen shot of everything I did.  Thanks.

This is Sri.  As per the inputs (CommentIssue.doc) provided by you, I guess you have created a question with the caption/name as "Comment" and trying to get the comment value which is wrong. 

Comments box is a default filed which is not available by default for the Checklist activity.  In order to get this, we need to add a comment field to the Checklist HMTL page and detailed information is as follows on the same.

To add a comment field to the Checklist HTML page, create a TextBox control in Checklist HTML pages with the name "txtComment" (refer the below code sample or attached CheckListUI.htm for your reference). The HTML template pages for the Checklist activity (CheckListUI.htm) can be found under the ..\Skelta\BPM.NET \WorkflowElements\Default\en-US\Activities\Activity folder.

Once you perform the above step, you will be able to see the comments filed for the Checklist activities (refer attached snap shot CheckListWorkItem.JPG which shows the comments box in the checklist activity).

And in order to capture the comments upon submission of a checklist activity, declare a variable at start action as per the syntax given in the help and try to display the same like the way you tried to display the comments in the email body once a decision from the checklist has been made.

Variables for capturing Comments:

Comments entered in a Checklist can be retrieved using a variable with the following syntax:
'^'+_HWSActivity.CurrentActivity.Name+'CommentCheckList'.  As per your document, it would be
^Valerie ChecklistCommentCheckList

Thanks for the information.  I am having difficulties getting to the HTML template.  I apologize for being a little slow today but, could you tell me exactly how do I get to \Skelta\BPM.NET \WorkflowElements\Default\en-US\Activities\Activity folder

I did not see a Skelta folder in my program files or a way to get there from the checklist, so I know I am completely lost with finding the template.  Thank you much.

You can find/search for the Skelta installed folder in all available drives on the Skelta installed machine and also you may search for the CheckListUI.htm file using normal windows search (refer attached snap shot).

Btw, May I know the Skelta Product (version) which you are using?  I guess, it's Skelta BPM.NET 2009, Correct me If I am wrong.

Thanks for the information.  We access Skelta through our Portal site and I'm not sure if the machine where Skelta is installed on is at our Corporate company or what.  I will ask my manager shortly about how can I access CheckListUl.htm since Skelta is not installed on my machine.  I think the version we access is Skelta Accelerator - Sharepoint Advanced R2, but I'm not completely sure.  Attached is what my workflow looks like in the version I use.  I believe its an older version from what you are using.  I will see what I can find out.  Hopefully I will be able to access that file because I really like the view of using the Checklist action instead of an approval action.  Thanks again.

I just heard back from our corporate company and I'm unable to access the CheckListUl.htm file due to the fact that its a global file.  Is there another action that is very similar to the checklist but have the comment field already available, or something I could use that don't require me to edit our corporate files?  I have attached my first post on what I'm trying to do when the checklist was first recommended as my best option.  I have everything working correctly except I can not get the comments to display in the email since I moved the comments back to the form.  I do know that the approval action has a comment field but I don't believe it will work like the checklist action.  Thanks for all you help.
