When trying to run the CentralConfig site i get

You are not authorized to access this site

You need to be a member of Group Administrators or SkeltaAdmins.

Skelta is installed on Vista 32 bit with SQL Server 2008.

SkeltaAdmins and Group Administrators are both local groups with the user a member of both.

Authentication is set to "Windows"

Any ideas?

Hi,

Cause for this issue: 1. The user who is accessing the Skelta Central Configuration site is actually not a member of Administrators or SkeltaAdmins group. 2. Or Anonymous Access to the Skelta Central Configuration site is enabled.

Solution for the issue:
1. The user accessing the Skelta Central Configuration site need to be a member of Administrators group for the machine.

2. Anonymous access rights for the CentralConfig site should be removed from IIS.
Steps :
a] Click Start > Run.
b] Type inetmgr > Enter.
c] In the IIS, right click on the CentralConfig site > Directory Security > Edit
d] Uncheck Enable anonymous access and check Integrated windows authentication. Site should use only Integrated Windows Authentication. Click OK.

Thanks, Sri

Sri thanks for your reply

I have read the help guide and saw this as a fix and it was the first thing i checked.

As stated in my original post the user is in the appropriate groups and authentication is set to windows (not anonymous)

As i am using IIS7 and vista inetmgr is different however i still achieved the same outcome.

are there any other ideas?

Hi Ozedge,

Just a quick clarification. In case, if you have the latest help file installed (Skelta BPM 2009 - System Administrator Guide V1.1), then we have mentioned the settings that need to be done for IIS7 in Vista environment(attached jpg for your reference). Please let us know if the steps mentioned there have been performed or not. If the help file is an older version, you can download the latest one from the skelta site.

Thanks, Sri

Thanks,

Sri

Hi,

Please try following things.

1. Open this site from a new browser with administrative privileges(Run as administrator).

PS: Don't open it in already opened browser.

If above step does not help,

Add the site in trusted sites in the IE and give a try.

Thanks, Sri

Thanks

I actually needed to do both. (needed to add it to trusted sites and continue to run IE as administrator)

Cheers

Josh
