I couldn't able to create/edit workflows due to following error

"Cannot proceed further. A valid connection to Skelta Farm could not be established. Please check the Database User settings specified in the Skelta Farm Configuration Wizard and MSDTC Settings"

So could someone help me out by suggesting steps to resolve this error?

For more details, please look at attached screen shot.

Early reply will be appreciated.

Regards
Balasaheb

Hi Balasaheb,

With regards to your query you need to do the below steps:

1)       Go to controlpanelàAdministrative toolsàcomponetservicesàcomputersàmy computer, rightclick and click on properties

You will find an MSDTC tab and you have to click on security configuration àWe need to check the NetworkDTC access, AllowRemoteclients àAllowRemoteAdministaration.,Allow inbound,Allow Outbound , No Authentication Required., Enable Transaction Protocol,Enable XA Transactions.

Please find the below screen shot for your reference.

Note: If Database is on different machine we need to do the above settings on the Database machine also. Please try this and get back to us if you have any further clarifications.

Thanks,

Santosh Kumar

Thank you Santosh,

I checked the settings as you suggested, however all the settings has been already set. I found no change in settings. Should I change the MSDTC settings and again set as you suggested.

I don't know, problem might be related to memory of the system.

For your reference

Machine configuration is

RAM: 2GB, 1.86 Ghz

Harddisk: 80 GB

MOSS 2007 Standalone installed on the system with database on same system

Balasaheb

Hi Balasaheb,

In your previous mail you have send  the screen shots where the services are in starting state …Can you please do the below steps ..in o

1. Goto task manager and end this process.

2. Verify that you have not changed the account password for Skelta Service/Engine.  If yes re-configure and try.

3. If the skelta services are running with Local System account, you may change it to user account which has admin privileges and then give a try.

4. Open the Skelta logger console  and verify the exceptions if any please send us the same .

5. Make sure you have not changed your database login user which you have provided in Farm Configuration, if yes re-configure this through Form Configuration Wizard

Can you please send us the skelta Logger messages and also the event viewr messages which will be helpful for us.

Thanks,

Santosh Kumar

Santosh,

When I checked with existing workflows, workflows can be Edited/ updated and can be published properly.

However, these are not working when I started to visit document library and see its working or not.

Could you give me some guideline for these workflows to work?

Let me know if you need any more detail information.

Regards
Balasaheb

Santosh,

Problem with new / existing workflow has been resolved.

This issue is resolved by creating new Repository and new sites with new workflow. However, this issue still persists with old repository.

On new site, created in new repository, I'll copy old workflows and check those workflow whether working or not.

I will let know if existing workflows are working on new site (created using new repository) by EOD.

Thanks for your quick response and assistance.

Regards
Balasaheb
